Showroom Revamp!

We are currently undergoing a refit at the Moore & Bradfield Showroom in Hungerford meaning soon there will plenty of new ideas on offer to inspire you. Over the past couple of weeks we have been on the look out for fantastic design ideas to incorporate into our new and improved showroom. Here os one of the e things that have caught our eye. . .

This 'Birds of a feather' wallpaper from Brewers is well in keeping with the current 'best of british' 2011 trend which focuses on reds, whites, and blues. It features British garden birds, such as robins and sparrows, perched on a line (a branch for the imaginative) and decorated with subtle hints of the Union Jack. We think this would look fantastic as a backdrop behind gloss white cabinets. It is available from Wallpaper Direct.

French Farmhouse Kitchens 2

A reader has come to me requesting some images of French Farmhouse style kitchens in order to get her design juices flowing! When a client comes to Moore & Bradfield with a clear style or design in mind, one of the first steps is to create an inspiration board full of interior design images. In the initial meeting we then go through the images, discussing the elements of the style that the client loves and those they don't. Here are some of the images we used...

New Showroom Range Cookers

Over in Hungerford at the Moore & Bradfield showroom, our Aga 6:4 has been sold in order to make way for a new range cooker. Currently the front runner for its replacement is the La Cornue Cornuchef Grand Mamam 90 (pictured left).

This range features an 84 litre vaulted oven (gas or electirc) and a stainless steel hob with 5 burners (available as a combination of gas and electric, or all electric). Of course the main point in its favour (in my opinion!) is its looks. Whats more is that this model is available in 24 colours.

I also love the CornuFe 90. This model offers two electric ovens but is only available in 6 colours.

I adore this wallpaper detailing and think its a great way to add an interesting design feature to a modern contry kitchen. I know my mum is thinking of doing somthig similar in her new kitchen with Lamorna wallpaper by Laura Ashley (which unfortunatly is now discontinued, I think she got some of the last rolls!) This paper is used in the kitchen below (pic number two)
